This course is two sessions in total. Theory will be completed online, and two practical sessions will be carried out. The sessions will run from 9:30am - 4pm, with a 30minute lunch break. You will cover the following: Practical -Work area set up -Tools and products -Consultation -Nail preparation -Nail shaping -Application of gel colour -Application of french style finish -Application of builder gel -Builder gel maintenance -Removal of gel products -Aftercare Theory - to be completed online PRIOR to practical sessions. -Core knowledge (chemical knowledge, consultations, hygiene, contra-indications, tools plus much more) -Health and Safety -Gel Polish -Builder Gel -Troubleshooting There are five assignments to be submitted. This will be using a word document or similar. If you require any support please contact your course tutor. A maximum of 4 students will be in the classroom sessions. Models may be required. Kit options can be purchased from NEA. Alternatively a kit list will be provided and students can select which products they prefer. When students are attending in person, full use of all salon equipment is available at these sessions only. You will be required to submit case studies. Case studies will need to be completed on a person. It is essential you have the following to complete the course: -A kit to complete the course (kit list can be sent across if required) -Access to models for case studies ( this can not be completed on practice hands or your own hands) -Access to a laptop/mobile/internet and camera/video device. Session One - Gel Polish, french gel polish, tip application, builder gel. Session Two - Builder Gel, builder gel infill, and working on models. You will be required to submit: 3 x gel polish case studies 3 x french gel polish case studies 3 x builder gel application case studies 3 x builder gel infill application case studies 2 x gel polish removal and buff
